Mr. Debraj Raychand  is the 17th descendant of Maharaja Krisnachandra Roy. Maharaja Krisnachandra Roy(1710-1783) was Zamindar of Nadia, heir to Bhabananda Majumder, founder of the aristocratic family of Krishnanagar. Maharaja Krisnachandra Roy was shrewd and politically farsighted. Debraj Raychand has carried on this politics for generations through his political work and business. Krishnachandra was "the most important man of the period in the Hindu society of Bengal.
